Delete your account

You can delete your GuptGully account and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent.

In the app

  1. Open GuptGully and go to the Me tab
  2. Open Settings
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom, and confirm with your Google account

Without the app

Email hello@guptgully.in from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete the account within a reasonable time of receiving the request.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in, and the email address and age we hold for it
  • Your profile: alias, avatar, bio, location, streak, badges and plan
  • The posts, polls and events you created
  • Your Gupt Sawaal inbox and your ask link
  • Who you follow, your pending 1v1 requests and sessions, and your place in groups

What is not removed straight away

  • Messages you sent in group and direct chats, comments you left on other people's posts, and images you uploaded. These are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time after your account is deleted
  • Groups you started stay open for their members
  • Records we need for legal, security or abuse-prevention reasons, such as reports and moderation records, may be kept for a limited period

If you have a Gully Legend plan

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought on Google Play. Cancel it first in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or it will keep renewing.
